# Adjusting overlay scene timing

Click on the overlay you wish to edit inside the transcript, and you'll see drag handles appear on each end. You can adjust the timing of an overlay by dragging those handles to the right spot.  Any overlay scenes that are next to other overlay scenes will have their durations adjusted automatically when you move the handles:
