# Configure Lumen5 MCP for Claude

### **What does the Lumen5 MCP do?**

**The Lumen5 MCP allows you to create videos directly from within Claude or Claude Code.**

**Start by having a regular conversation with Claude. For example, drafting a script for your video. Then, once you are happy with your script, tell Claude something like:**

```
Ok, I like this script! Please convert it into a Lumen5 video.

```

**Claude will ask you which workspace to put the video in, then submit your script to Lumen5.**

**Tip: If you have other instructions (eg. a specific template/blueprint/voice to use, more detail about the style of the video, etc), feel free to also include those in your message to Claude.**

**After a couple minutes, your video will be ready and Claude will reply with a link to it. From there, you can edit the video within Lumen5 as normal.**

## **How to set it up**

1. **Go to** [__**https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors**__](https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors) **to configure your organization’s Connectors within Claude**
2. **Click “+ Add” → Custom → Web**

3. **Fill in the name (Lumen5) and URL:** [__**https://lumen5.com/mcp**__](https://lumen5.com/mcp)**. Then click “Continue”**

4. **Claude will automatically detect all the capabilities of the server. You can leave these options set as-is. Just click “Add”**

**The set up is complete!**

### Testing

To test your Claude ↔ Lumen5 integration, open a new chat with Claude. If you click the “+” button under the Chat, then view your available Connectors, you should be able to Locate the Lumen5 Connector

Make sure that connector is turned on. 

Now, ask Claude to create a video using Lumen5:

```
Please create a short 10-second test video in Lumen5
```

And you will see how it works!
