# How can I change the timing of the video?

By default, the length of each scene is dynamically determined based on the amount of text on each scene. For example, a scene with more text will stay on screen longer, and a scene with less text will go by faster.

**__Adjusting overall video pacing__**

You can control the pacing of your entire video using the **Slow down / Speed up** control in the AI Tools panel. This affects all scenes, including AI voiceover, but not recorded voiceover or talking head footage.

In the pacing dropdown, you can choose from:
* Slowest Speed (0.5x)
* Slow Speed (0.75x)
* Normal Speed (1.00x)
* Fast Speed (1.25x)
* Fastest Speed (1.50x)

Select your preferred option. If your video includes an AI voiceover, it will take a moment to re-generate before the change takes effect.

And that’s all there is to it! Now you can easily match your video's tempo to your exact project needs.
