# Upload requirements for videos and images

**Video upload specifications: **

*   Format: MP4, MOV, animated GIF 
    
*   Duration: 10-minute max per uploaded clip
    
*   Maximum filesize: 2 GB
    
*   Maximum resolution: 4K (1080p is the maximum resolution Lumen5 can produce, so 4K uploads will be converted to 1080p. HDR files are not supported.)
    
*   Minimum width: 360px (480px recommended)
    
*   Minimum height: 360px (480px recommended)
    
*   Frame Rate: 30FPS max (we don't currently support 60fps)
    
*   Preferred MP4 Video codec: H.264
    
*   Preferred MP4 Audio codec: AAC

    

Lumen5 may support other codecs, but we recommend H.264 and AAC. H.264 supports 8bit colour depth. We don't support alpha channels, green screens/chromakey, or masks.

If your video is in an unsupported format, we recommend converting it to MP4 format using an online conversion tool such as [this](https://www.aconvert.com/video/).


**Image upload specifications: **

*   Format: JPG, PNG, BMP, WEBP
    
*   Maximum filesize: 50 MB
    
*   Minimum width: 360px (480px recommended)
    
*   Minimum height: 360px (480px recommended)
