# Using the prompter when recording a talking head video

[Recording a talking head video](/en/article/recording-a-talking-head-video-s8i2tz/) and want a little help remembering your lines? Prompter to the rescue!

The prompter will automatically scroll through your text as you record, so you can live out your dreams of being a news anchor. To use it, click on the Prompter button in the top left corner of the recording modal:

You can type or paste your text right into the overlay that appears on top of the screen recording. Change the timing of the prompter by using the + and - controls in the bottom right.

The prompter will scroll automatically, so be sure to scroll to the top of your script right before you hit record! Did a million takes and don't need the prompter anymore? Just click on the Prompter button in the top left corner again to close it.
