# What file type/format will my video download in?

Lumen5 videos are downloaded in MP4 format. The only exception is videos created in the Story format. These videos will be downloaded as a .zip file, with each scene rendered in an individual MP4 file. This is so that you can upload each scene to your story separately for viewers to tap through.

**Bitrate:**
The bitrate for published videos depends on the resolution that the video is published in. 

1080p video: 4Mbps
720p video: 2.5Mbps
480p video: 1.25Mbps
