Sharing to Instagram takes a little more work than to Facebook or other web-based social networks. This help article is here to help!
Download the video to your phone
Once you have downloaded your video to your computer, the next step is to transfer it to your phone. There are a number of quick and easy ways to do this. Here are a few options for you to consider:
For Windows + Android users:
You can use WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Slack, or another messaging app of your choice to send the video to yourself so you can save it on your phone.
For Mac + iPhone users:
You can use AirDrop to transfer the video to your iPhone or send it to yourself with iMessage and save it on your phone.
On all operating systems and devices, you can upload the video to Dropbox or Google Drive, then open the Dropbox or Google Drive on your phone and save it to your photos. Alternatively, you can email the video to yourself (if it's not too big!) and save it from there.
Posting to Instagram Stories
We have a separate guide for that! Check it out here
Posting to Instagram Feed
Make sure your video is 60 seconds or less, otherwise Instagram will make you trim it!
Third-party scheduling tools
There are a number of social media scheduling tools that make it easier to share to Instagram. Many can share directly to the Instagram feed, though there is still some manual work required to share to an Instagram Story.
Here are some scheduling tools that you can explore.
