If you're seeing colors that don't match what's showing in the Style tab, it's likely because something called hardware acceleration is turned off in your browser.

Hardware acceleration is a fancy way of saying that sometimes software (like Lumen5) may need to tell a physical part of your computer (hardware) to do a particular task if that task can be done faster by that part of your computer. This allows the software to run more efficiently if the hardware does some of the heavy lifting- i.e. the hardware accelerates the process. Hence, hardware acceleration! This explanation is not perfect, but that is the basic idea.

Lumen5 requires hardware acceleration in order to display our professional-quality transitions and effects.

With hardware acceleration turned off, you'll see mixed up colours and won't see blurs or transitions:

To check if hardware acceleration is turned off in your browser (and turn it on, if it is!) follow this simple guide.

If you've followed those steps and hardware acceleration is turned on but you're still seeing mixed up colors, reach out to our Support team to assist.
