Upload requirements for videos and images

Video upload specifications: 

Format: MP4, MOV, animated GIF

Duration: 10-minute max per uploaded clip

Maximum filesize: 2 GB

Maximum resolution: 4K (1080p is the maximum resolution Lumen5 can produce, so 4K uploads will be converted to 1080p. HDR files are not supported.)

Minimum width: 360px (480px recommended)

Minimum height: 360px (480px recommended)

Frame Rate: 30FPS max (we don't currently support 60fps)

Preferred MP4 Video codec: H.264

Preferred MP4 Audio codec: AAC



Lumen5 may support other codecs, but we recommend H.264 and AAC. H.264 supports 8bit colour depth. We don't support alpha channels, green screens/chromakey, or masks.

If your video is in an unsupported format, we recommend converting it to MP4 format using an online conversion tool such as this.

Format: JPG, PNG, BMP, WEBP

Maximum filesize: 50 MB

Minimum width: 360px (480px recommended)

Minimum height: 360px (480px recommended)
