Using the media filter to find videos and photos

Lumen5's searchable media library gives you access to millions of commercially licensed photos, videos, and graphics.

Here are some best practices to get the best search results for media with Lumen5.

Tip 1: Combine keywords for better search results

For example, you'll get different results for searching "business" compared to “people meeting in a business setting” because search results are based on keywords and tags.

Tip 2: Think in metaphors and analogies rather than the obvious

Think of related, less obvious keywords. For example, if your video has a scene about doing something fast, don't search for a clock (too obvious!) look for someone running instead (more interesting!)

Imagine that you want to do a video about business people. At first glance, you can see that the business people in the image are not reflective of your diverse community. In that case, add in business people diverse, and you will get a better result.

The level of refinement is limited only by your imagination! If you have a particular community that you want to feature, you can do that. You can see searches on business people Chinese and business people African, helping you have media that reflects the diversity unique to your community.
