About the Media Library We have partnered with one of the world's best stock media providers: Shutterstock. We provide this media to use in Lumen5 at a fraction of the cost of purchasing it directly. Icons are fantastic for representing ideas, concepts, and objects. They make for a nice break from stock media, adding variety to your videos. Video dimensions depend on the aspect ratio and resolution you're rendering the video at. Images and videos in Lumen5 are available in three distinct buckets. Our standard library is made up of 15 million images and videos. An extended premium library with an additional 2 million images and videos from Shutterstock is available on some plans. And finally, Business plans and above offer access to the media marketplace, which provides credits to use each month towards 160 million images and videos from Shutterstock's extended collection. When you create a talking head video, we automatically apply Dolby.io audio enhancements so your clip sounds the best! Audio enhancement does things like reducing background noise, sharpening speech, and normalizing peaks and lows if the volume changes throughout the clip. You can find the audio toggle in the transcript tab. To use a picture or video from the media library, drag-and-drop it onto a scene! Clicking on a media asset will also apply it to the scene that's in focus on the canvas: Some scenes have more than 1 spot where media can be applied! Lumen5's searchable media library gives you access to millions of commercially licensed photos, videos, and graphics. Here are some best practices to get the best search results for media with Lumen5. Tip 1: Combine keywords for better search results For example, you'll get different results for searching "business" compared to “people meeting in a business setting” because search results are based on keywords and tags. You can add tags to your video and image uploads to make it easier to find them later on. Tags that you add to your uploads are indexed so that you can search keywords to track down your media later. We recommend you add tags for things like the name of the speaker, the location of the event, or the topic of the media clip. To add tags, click on the i icon in the upper right corner of an uploaded video or image. Then, add tags in the tag field by typing them in and hitting Enter after each tag.Few readersFolders for Media Uploads

You can now mark any piece of media you love from the Lumen5 library as a favorite! If you have that one video clip or image you find yourself using over and over, or you spot one that really speaks to you, you can favorite it by clicking the star icon in the bottom right corner of the media. Lumen5 integrates with Tenor to easily enable you to add relevant GIFs to your videos! Lumen5 does not control media accessed via the Tenor integration. Use of media from Tenor is governed by their Terms of Service. All videos using Tenor GIFs are required to be non-commercial (editorial). You can report media in the media library that is offensive or not relevant. If you hover over a piece of media, you'll see a "..." icon at the top right. Click on that, then in the pop up that appears, click "Report". You can then report the media and provide a reasFew readersFind similar media

In addition to the millions of free media files offered within Lumen5, you can also upload your own photos and videos! Under the Media tab, you'll find an Uploads section where you can access all of your previously uploaded files, and upload new files. Note: To avoid errors in uploading, make sure to read our photo and video upload requirements and ideal dimensions.
