How long can a Lumen5 video be?The maximum length of a Lumen5 video is 10 minutes. Many social media platforms recommend that your video be even shorter than this for the best engagement. Below are the recommended lengths for your videos, depending on the social media platform you'll be posting to:
Instagram Feed - 60 seconds maximum
Instagram Story - 15 seconds (Instagram will split longer videos into multiple 15 second fragments)
Twitter - 30 seconds (recommended), 2 minutes and 20 seconds maximum
How can I change the timing of the video?By default, the length of each scene is dynamically determined based on the amount of text on each scene. For example, a scene with more text will stay on screen longer, and a scene with less text will go by faster.
You can change the overall pacing of your video by using the pacing dropdown to choose from 'Fast' (20% faster) or 'Slow' (20% slower). This option will affect your video as a whole.
Saving your videoWhen creating a video, you'll find several options available in the top-right corner. You can click on the Save button to save your current progress. Once saved, your project will be accessible from your Lumen5 Dashboard as a draft, so you can continue editing from when you last saved.
